No Riverfest in 2010
There will be no festival in 2010, though we're hopeful of a good one in 2011.
On the 26th of June the RiverRats concert will take place on a boat on the river Crouch to raise money for next years festival.
If anyone wants to send in any demos or applications to perform next year, we'd certainly appreciate them. see more news >>
Welcome!
RIVERfest takes place this June in the small waterside town of Burnham-on-Crouch. Best known for its sailing, the town also has a thriving community of talented musicians and artists. The festival, which began in 1992 with a single day of music, has grown into a whole month of music and the arts. Today's festival is not just about local talent - musicians from as far away as Africa and the USA come to play or give workshops for local schools. Most of the events are free and many are suitable for the whole family.
Although Burnham is only an hour away by train from London's Liverpool Street station, its location on the edge of the Dengie Marshes gives it a laid back atmosphere which feels like a world away from London. The festival makes good use of the Crouch Estuary with many events taking place within sight of the water, or even on the water itself.
If you’re interested in performing, we’d love to hear from you. Use our act submission form to tell us all about you or your band. Please be aware however that all submissions must be accompanied by a demo so we can hear you. This can take the form of a CD, MP3, tape or even a website address, such as myspace. We regret that we cannot consider any submission without being able to hear you!
Anyone interested in catering or running a stall over the weekend can use our stallholder form to apply for a pitch.
